Editorial Assistant
Nina grew up in Carrboro and eagerly returned to the warm climate in 2020 after spending several years in Chicago. She earned her M.A. in Museum & Exhibition Studies with an emphasis on social justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her B.A. in Hispanic Literature & Culture and Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nina has collaborated on exhibitions and programming with several cultural organizations, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and History Moves, a public history project based in Chicago. She has also worked as an educator, both in the U.S. and Spain, and provided program support for the UNC-GA Adult Learner Initiative. As an Editorial Assistant, Nina supports editors, helps facilitate the peer review process for journals, and copyedits articles in preparation for publication.
