Originally from central New York, Laurel Meierdiercks lived and studied in Florida, Georgia, and abroad in Belgium, before relocating to Durham, NC during her PhD candidacy. As a Senior Editor at Technica, Laurel applies her years of professional copyediting and academic publishing experience to the management of peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly publications. She loves streamlining workflows, color-coding spreadsheets, and bringing authors’ hard work to fruition through editorial support. Laurel spends her evenings and weekends finishing her dissertation, finding exciting new local eateries, and telling stories with her friends through tabletop games.
